Nights run cold up here - pack warm layers even in July.
Albion Basin is where the Wasatch stops being a commute and starts being alpine. At roughly 9,500 feet, the Forest Service notes the campground often cannot open until July 4 or later, because that is simply when the snow leaves the basin. There is a seven day stay limit and reservations go through recreation.gov. No pets of any kind are allowed, since this is Salt Lake City watershed and the ban covers animals kept in a vehicle.
Tip: Shortest season in the state. July weekends book instantly.
