Almost everyone who pulls in is here for one thing, the falls trail that starts at the campground itself, which means the day-use parking fills long before the sites do. The camp sits right on the creek at the bottom of a canyon, so you get shade and running water in a stretch of country that offers neither. Staying the night is mostly about being able to walk to the trailhead at dawn, before the canyon heats up and the crowd arrives.
Tip: 14 sites, first come. Arrive by 10 AM or have a plan B.
