Zion's other campgrounds sit down in the main canyon. This one is up Kolob Terrace Road on a plateau most park visitors never reach, with six primitive sites, a pit toilet, and not much else, so come self-contained. Two NPS pages currently disagree on whether sites are reservable or first come, so confirm before you drive up. It is high enough that nights get genuinely cold even when the canyon below is baking.
Tip: Only a handful of sites. The West Rim trail starts nearby.
