We built this site to make planning a Utah hiking, fishing, camping, or state park trip easier. Nothing here is an official government publication, and nothing here should be treated as one.
Throughout this site — especially on our fishing pages and gear guide — we link directly to official state resources, including wildlife.utah.gov and dwrapps.utah.gov. We link to these because a current Utah fishing license, and up-to-date regulations, are legally required — not because we are part of DWR or the State of Utah. Those links take you to the state's own site; anything you do there (buying a license, reading regulations) is between you and the State of Utah.
Our rig notes, bait suggestions, "best time to bite" windows, and gear recommendations (including the Fishing Gear Loadout) reflect independent research and general angling knowledge. They are not official DWR guidance and are not a substitute for current regulations, slot limits, closures, or species restrictions. Rules change — always verify current regulations directly with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources before you fish.
