Currant Creek works as two waters on one road. The creek above the reservoir is a Blue Ribbon fishery in the state regulations, artificial flies and lures only from the Water Hollow Creek confluence up through the headwaters and its tributaries, while the reservoir carries no such restriction. Getting in means about 17 miles off US-40 at Currant Creek Junction, the last seven on graded gravel. The campground opens in June and closes in September.

When: Dawn, dusk, and overcast days; fall (spawn season) fires them up
