Wiper (Hybrid Striper)

Why Target Them

The rules tell you how Utah treats this fish. The statewide limit is three wipers a day, one of the smallest numbers on the table, while white bass, the other half of the cross, carries no limit at all. So the first job on the dike is telling them apart before you put anything in the cooler. They get heavy too: the state record, 18 pounds 1.5 ounces and 29 and a half inches, came from Otter Creek Reservoir in 2025.
