Nights run cold up here - pack warm layers even in July.
This is the big one on Cedar Mountain, close to a hundred sites, so it absorbs the crowd the small lake camps up the road cannot. It sits directly off Scenic Byway 14 about 28 miles east of Cedar City, which means pavement the whole way in. There are both flush and vault toilets, some sites take reservations while others are held first come, and quiet hours run from 10 at night to 6 in the morning.
Tip: Ice cave and Aspen Mirror Lake are short kid-size walks.
