Nights run cold up here - pack warm layers even in July.
North is the big Forest Service camp at Panguitch Lake, roughly 50 sites including doubles and three group sites, which makes it the one that can take a whole family caravan. The lake itself is about half a mile off, and the public ramps are at South Shore and Wildlife Point, so mornings start with a short drive rather than a walk down to the water. Flush toilets and drinking water are on site, and some single sites are held first come.
Tip: Troll mornings, hide from afternoon thunderstorms, repeat.
