Why Camp Here

Rendezvous Beach is not one campground but four separate areas strung along the south shore, and picking the right one matters. Birch and Big Creek are full hookup loops with power, water, and sewer at every site, and Birch sites run from 64 to 105 feet long. Cottonwood is tent only with no hookups on the individual sites, which is where you want to be if you came for quiet. Willow holds the group sites, up to 48 people and 12 vehicles each under a pavilion.

Tip: Book the moment the window opens. Raspberry shakes in Garden City are mandatory.

Reservable via stateparks.utah.gov.
What elevation is Rendezvous Beach (Bear Lake SP)?
5920 feet. Season: May-Sept.
Why camp at Rendezvous Beach (Bear Lake SP)?
Because it is the closest thing Utah has to a drive-in beach vacation. The sand is right at the campground rather than a drive away, there are four different areas so you can match the setup to your rig or your tent, and the gate holds from 7 am to 10 pm.
