Spanish Oaks is a Spanish Fork city reservoir at the canyon mouth, and the city runs it as a park, dawn to dusk, roughly March through November. That means the fishing shares the water with swimmers, so morning is your window before the beach fills. Dogs and other animals are not allowed at the reservoir, which surprises people who bring one. Fishing is also closed from December 1 until 6 a.m. on the last Saturday of February.
