Why Go
Local farmers started this dam in 1897 with volunteer labor and homemade equipment, under a man who had never built one, and state engineers described it as one of the best earth reservoir dams in the country. Most people come for rainbows, but browns, cutthroat, smallmouth bass and wipers are in there too. The campground has over fifty sites, twenty-one with power and water, plus two cabins and showers. Three ATV trails leave from the park, the Paiute system among them, so expect trailers alongside boats.
