Why Go
Utah's newest state park is more history site than dinosaur attraction. Alongside the early Cretaceous fossil ground, roughly 125 million years old, it protects two historic sites, the Dalton Wells Civilian Conservation Corps camp and the Moab Isolation Center, neither of which most Moab visitors have heard of. On the ground it plays as dispersed trail country about 15 miles northwest of Moab: the Klonzo mountain bike network, and the Sovereign system with roughly 50 miles of motorized single and double track. Do not expect a fossil dig you can walk up to.
