Why Hike This
Most Utah waterfalls make you earn them. This one drops 607 feet in two tiers right beside the paved Provo River Parkway, so the viewpoint is a flat walk rather than a climb, and strollers and wheelchairs handle it. The Utah Legislature made it a state monument in 2022, and an aerial tram once carried diners to a lodge at the top until a slide destroyed it in 1996. In winter the face freezes and ice climbers work it, which is better watched than joined.
