This is where the flatwater starts. Boaters put in here for the 120-mile run through Labyrinth and Stillwater canyons, a stretch the park rates for beginners and intermediate boaters. The campground sits under a full canopy of cottonwoods at 4,050 feet, and that shade is the difference between a pleasant July night and a miserable one. There is also a community fishing pond stocked with bass, trout, bluegill, and channel catfish if the river itself is running muddy.
