Rockport earned International Dark Sky Place certification in 2021, which separates it from every other Wasatch Back reservoir. That is unusual for water this close to Park City and the Wasatch Front. There are over a hundred campsites open year-round and a launch ramp on the east side, at 6,000 feet on 1,080 acres. Come for the boating if you want, but stay the night, because that is the part most day visitors miss.
