Most Utah reservoirs have one front door. Jordanelle has three, spread around the shoreline and not interchangeable. Hailstone is the developed side with the eight-lane ramp and the marina store; Rock Cliff sits on the eastern shore where boardwalks cross wetlands along the upper Provo River; Ross Creek is the quiet non-motorized end that feeds the Perimeter Trail. Pick your entrance before you leave the highway, because moving between them is a drive, not a walk.
Do this: Boating, paddleboarding, fishing, biking the perimeter trail
Family note: Rope-swing energy; rentals at the marina
